| Learn to sail
in the Strait of Gibraltar where we enjoy excellent sailing conditions
all year round. We have been sailing these waters for 24 years;
so from experience we can make your RYA course a great success.
Our professional Instructors and shorebased crew go that extra mile
to ensure your sailing course and travel is rewarding. We offer
RYA courses on new school yachts and on a private charter basis.
The complete R.Y.A. syllabus (from Competent
Crew, Day Skipper and Coastal
Skipper right through to Yachtmaster)
is taught on new 36 to 47 foot yachts, which are a delight to sail in
both light winds and challenging seas. They also provide superb
accommodation where we serve homemade meals with wine after a full
days sailing.
The Gibraltar Bay and it's dolphins make a fun
outdoor classroom for your first days RYA sailing exercises. While Competent
Crew students learn the basics of hands-on sailing, the Day Skipper
and Coastal Skippers learn to take command of the boat and practice
tidal-navigation under the supervision of the Instructor.
With an exciting Straits sailing to Morocco in North Africa and both the Costa la Luz and Costa del Sol in Spain to explore,
it really is a ‘cocktail’ of fascinating cultures. It is here, between two mountain ranges that the
Mediterranean merges with the Atlantic, giving Andalucia two strikingly
different coasts. From the cosmoplitan marinas of Sotogrande and Marbella to the East, to the windswept beaches of Tarifa and natural coast to the West.
On the Yachtmaster fast track course you could venture South to Tenerife and the Canary Islands and Cape Verde islands, West to the Algarve, Portugal or North East into the Mediterranean to Majorca and the Costa Brava. At Trafalgar Sailing Barcelona, you can do your non-tidal training along the stunning and rugged coastline of the Costa Brava.
Gibraltar is easy to fly to with Easyjet, BA and Monarch airlines all flying direct form London.
The success of Trafalgar sailing is thanks to our Instructors and the many students that have spread the word. |
