| Learn to sail
on a passage to the Canary Islands for great weather, good clean wind and tidal waters. There are many superb marinas here to practice your mooring skills and of course natural bays to anchor.
The Canary Islands vary in character, each with their own charm. La Gomera is a protected National Park and Tenerife has the magnificent Mount Teide 3718m.
In Cape Verde you can "island hop" from the deserted beaches in Sal to the rugged mountainous coast of Sao Vicente. There are15 islands altogether (6 of which are uninhabited) and all within 135 nautical miles.
Although these naturally stunning islands have attracted sailors for centuries, Trafalgar sailing are the first to run RYA courses here. We chose to sail in the Cape Verde as the wind is outstanding for sailing in the channels, the islands and wildlife is beautiful and the locals are friendly & welcoming.
